The Big Easy

Family mini vaca this weekend to New Orleans!  We had such an awesome time going to the aquarium and seeing JG just marvel at the "skyscwapers."  Things went pretty much without a hitch, but there were a few "funny" moments.

We are walking in the French Quarter and a lady stumbles up to Gianna and says "oh look at the cute baby" and proceeds to touch her hand!!!!!!  Ok, so I am pretty relaxed about germs, lick pacifiers if they fall on the floor and put them back in, and I am not one to judge.  But seriously, who touches a babies hand!  So as I am trying to say a prayer for the lady instead of letting the words of DONT TOUCH MY CHILD come out of my mouth, I pull out a handy dandy pacifier wife and wipe the babies hand raw before the sticks it into her mouth.  Thanks to my sister in law Amy for not freaking when my brother went to bring JG to potty and decided he was going to go first as JG proceeds to have "an assident" on her carpet. We went to mass at the St. Louis Cathedral with the archbishop of New Orleans, which was AWESOME!  But as usual, Gianna doesnt like to sit down for long periods of time, as a friend of mine calls it "altitude sickness."  Not to disturb the Archbishops homily I proceed to the back of the cathedral to bounce my child and walk back and forth in about a 6 ft. line.  Then i hear, Maam, as an usher points to the sign "when mass is in progress please no photographs or walking about."  i guess bouncing a baby counts as walking about???  Haha it was funny and I obediently bounced while feet firmly planted on the marble.  Great weekend with the fam, great time with my brothers and mom and their wonderful better halves.  Overall wonderful!

Happy Feast Day of the Assumption!
