So now that I have to back her entire wardrobe to go out of the house just in case.....just another day in the life of mama.
We have tried Pampers, which I used with JG, and had great success with him. We have tried bigger diapers, smaller diapers, we have tried Huggies, Luvs and others......
But very cute and innocent! |
Any suggestion how to curb the poopy monster?
Doctor said just getting pneumonia outta her system and getting rid of it, which is good, but making for a very stinky day.....
You probably don't have time for this, but the ONLY thing that holds all the poop in that I've found are cloth diapers. There is so much more material gripping their chubby little legs, that it's much harder for any of that to sneak out. Because the littlest only "goes" about once every two weeks, the mess is LARGE. On vacation we used paper diapers of course, and the leaks we had were awful. The best paper diapers we've found would probably be Huggies. Because Pampers has made their diapers more "streamlined" to fit baby and ease bulk, they don't seem to hold in as much. We've tried Luvs too, and I found them to be much worse than the store brand. Safeway has a really good storebrand diaper that we've used before.
ReplyDeleteAnytime we've had to use antibiotics, we've had to deal with a round of lots of poopy diapers, and diaper rash. Until I decided to counter it with yogurt. You can see if she will take some of the Yo-baby full fat yogurt, to reestablish the balance in her tummy. We've had very good luck doing this and now I start yogurt whenever we have to do medicine.
Good luck and hope little G starts feeling better soon!
Thanks Candice!! The thought of cloth diapers makes me want to run for the hills lol, but maybe I should consider it!
ReplyDeleteActually, they are pretty easy and only take me about 15 minutes extra a week. (Plus I don't do any of the toilet soaking I've heard so much about from certain people, YUCK!) :) The only downside is that it can be quite an investment up front, unless you find used on craigslist. They are not for everyone though, and we've gone off and on them every once in awhile.
