This weekend I had an overwhelming feeling that I needed to declutter my heart and my life. Let go of all the stuff laying around. So I began by folding the laundry, then cleaned out a closet, then the laundry room, pantry, refrigerator, toys baskets throughout the house. And it took me less than 2 hours with 2 kids. I couldnt believe it, and I felt like 1000 times lighter. It made me think about my heart. How much stuff do I hold on to, anger, disappointments, resentments, that weigh me down and make my life more hectic. It doesn't take me long to go to confession, daily mass, say a rosary, etc. So, just as I was making room for all the new toys, gadgets, clutter that will come with Christmas morning. Preparing my house with a tree and Santa's, advent wreath etc. I also need to prepare my heart for the coming of Christ in a few short days. As we were decorating the church last night after mass, and my kids were running around, it made me realize there is no better place my children should be, then on the altar. Whether they are picking up Christmas tree branches, or just sitting and smiling at everyone around them. Christmas is coming soon! Is my heart ready?
On a lighter note.....
